Summary
This study aims to find the safest fasting time before surgery for people taking GLP-1 drugs (like Ozempic or Wegovy) for diabetes or weight loss. Researchers are concerned these drugs slow stomach emptying, which could increase the risk of complications during anesthesia. They will compare stomach contents in 45 adults after 8, 10, and 12 hours of fasting to see which time is most effective.
