First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at how two natural gut hormones, GIP and GLP-1, affect the body outside the pancreas. Researchers studied 12 people who had their pancreas removed to see how these hormones work together. The goal is to understand why a new combined drug (tirzepatide) works better than GLP-1 alone for diabetes and weight loss.
