First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study looks at the best time to start medication for pregnant women with gestational diabetes. 416 women were randomly assigned to begin treatment when either 20% or 40% of their blood sugar readings were too high. The goal is to see which approach leads to fewer health problems for the baby, such as being born too large or having low blood sugar.
