First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 41 times
Summary
This study will look at medical records of 1,000 adults who were in the intensive care unit (ICU) to understand how age affects their outcomes. Researchers will compare three age groups: under 65, 65-79, and 80 or older. They will track who died, who needed a breathing machine, and how long people stayed in the ICU. The goal is to learn more about the challenges older patients face in the ICU.
