NCT ID NCT07326904

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested whether fexuprazan, a new medication, can relieve heartburn and acid regurgitation in adults with GERD as effectively as the commonly used drug esomeprazole. 145 participants took either fexuprazan or esomeprazole once daily for 4 weeks (up to 8 weeks if needed) and reported their symptoms. The goal was to see if fexuprazan offers similar symptom relief and safety.
