Genetic blueprint guides new lymphoma cocktail
NCT ID NCT07706959
First seen Jul 16, 2026 · Last updated Jul 17, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial tests whether adding targeted drugs (azacitidine or decitabine plus selinexor) to standard chemotherapy improves outcomes for people newly diagnosed with peripheral T-cell lymphoma. Participants are assigned treatment based on their tumor's genetic profile. The study first finds the safest dose, then compares the personalized combination against standard chemo alone.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- azacitidine or decitabine plus selinexor combined with CHOP chemotherapy
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this approach could offer a more personalized, effective treatment for peripheral T-cell lymphoma by targeting specific genetic mutations.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early-phase trial, so the safety and effectiveness of the combination are not yet proven. The added drugs may increase side effects without improving outcomes.
