First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether short-term, non-invasive genital nerve stimulation can improve bowel function in people with spinal cord injury. About 52 adults with a spinal injury at or above T12 will have their rectal and anal activity measured with and without stimulation. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce fecal incontinence and improve quality of life.
