Scientists hunt for genes behind hernias in baby boys
NCT ID NCT07586332
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at the genetic reasons why some baby boys develop an inguinal hernia or have an undescended testicle. Researchers will collect tissue and blood samples from 60 boys having surgery to check for changes in three specific genes. The goal is to better understand these common conditions, which may lead to better treatments in the future.
