Scientists hunt for genes that fuel brain inflammation in Alzheimer's

NCT ID NCT04840979

First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at how certain genes influence brain inflammation in people with Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will use a special PET scan to measure immune cell activity in the brain. The goal is to find new genetic markers that affect this process, which could lead to better understanding of the disease. About 107 adults aged 50 and older, with or without memory problems, are taking part.
