First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This early study tests a new gene therapy drug, ZVS106e, for people with a rare inherited eye disease called Stargardt disease, which causes vision loss. The treatment is given as a single injection under the retina in one eye. The main goal is to check if it is safe, and researchers will also watch for any changes in vision over 52 weeks. Only 9 people aged 8 and older with a specific genetic mutation are being enrolled.
