First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests a one-time gene therapy (SAR444836) for adults with phenylketonuria (PKU), a genetic disorder causing high phenylalanine levels that require a strict diet. The treatment aims to safely lower these levels and allow patients to eat more freely. About 32 adults will receive the therapy and be monitored for at least 5 years.
