Summary
This study aims to understand if a specific gene (PTGS1) makes some newborns more susceptible to developing a serious lung condition called PPHN after being exposed to common over-the-counter pain medicines (like ibuprofen) during pregnancy. Researchers will compare the genes of 200 infants with PPHN to healthy infants to look for genetic differences. The goal is to learn how to predict and potentially prevent this condition in the future.
