First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at how the amount of fat in a meal and the menstrual cycle affect blood sugar levels in people with type 1 diabetes. Fifty adults (25 women, 25 men) will eat low-fat and high-fat meals, and women will be tested at different points in their cycle. The goal is to learn how to better adjust insulin doses for each person, especially women.
