Summary
This study tested whether adding antibiotic gels to a standard dental cleaning improves gum health for people with diabetes who have chronic gum disease. 380 participants were divided into groups to receive the cleaning alone, or the cleaning plus one of two gels or both gels combined. Researchers measured gum health over 15 days to see which treatment worked best.
