Summary
This study tested whether a special gel sheet could improve the appearance and feel of thick, raised scars from burns. Adult burn survivors wore the gel sheet on one scar while leaving a similar scar untreated for comparison. Researchers measured changes in scar thickness, redness, stiffness, pain, and itch to see if the gel sheet helped.
