New gel could boost treatment for implant gum disease

Summary
This study tests whether a gel made from polynucleotide and hyaluronic acid can improve the treatment of peri-implantitis, an infection around dental implants. About 32 adults with the condition will receive either the gel or a placebo alongside standard non-surgical cleaning. The main goal is to see if the gel reduces pocket depth around the implant after 6 months.
