NCT ID NCT07445893
First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether a new pill (gecacitinib) plus a standard injection (pegylated interferon) can safely bring blood counts back to normal in people with polycythemia vera, a condition where the body makes too many red blood cells. Thirty adults will receive the combination for 24 weeks and be monitored closely. The goal is to see if this approach can control the disease without the need for frequent blood removal.
