First seen Dec 30, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study was designed to see if diabetic patients have slower stomach emptying after fasting, which could raise the risk of vomiting during surgery. Researchers planned to use ultrasound to compare stomach contents between diabetic and non-diabetic patients before scheduled vascular surgery. The study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available.
