First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether transplanting specific stomach bacteria (probiotics) could relieve symptoms of functional dyspepsia, a condition causing stomach pain and bloating without a clear cause. 74 adults without H. pylori infection received either the probiotic or a placebo. The main goal was to see if symptoms improved over 8 weeks, measured by a standard stomach symptom questionnaire.
