New drug combo tested to fight tough stomach cancer
NCT ID NCT03223376
Summary
This study tested whether adding a new drug called fruquintinib to standard chemotherapy (paclitaxel) could help people with advanced stomach cancer live longer and keep their cancer from growing. It involved 703 adults whose cancer had worsened after their first treatment. The goal was to see if the two-drug combination was more effective and safe than the chemotherapy alone.
