Swiss study settles staple debate in weight loss surgery
NCT ID NCT07483957
Summary
This study looked back at 21,375 weight loss surgery patients in Switzerland from 2015 to 2022. Researchers compared two different ways surgeons connect the stomach and intestine during gastric bypass surgery: using a linear stapler or a circular stapler. The goal was to see which method leads to fewer complications, fewer repeat operations, and shorter hospital stays after surgery.
