First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether a Garmin Venu 3 or Venu 4 smartwatch can accurately measure heart rate, breathing rate, and blood oxygen levels compared to standard hospital equipment. About 30 hospitalized adults will wear both devices for up to 24 hours. The goal is to see if consumer smartwatches could be used for remote patient monitoring, making it easier and cheaper to track health outside the hospital.
