Nurses play games to save lives: new study tests fun training method

NCT ID NCT07365540

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a game-based learning approach can improve nurses' emergency first aid skills and confidence more than standard online videos. About 68 nurses from general wards will take part. They will be split into two groups: one uses a phone app that turns photos of emergency scenes into story scenarios, and the other watches existing hospital training videos. Their knowledge and confidence will be tested before, right after, and one month after training.
