First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested a new digital game app called PeroPap, designed to prepare children aged 7-10 and their parents for day surgery. The goal was to see if playing the game before the operation could lower children's anxiety, pain, nausea, and improve their behavior after surgery, while also reducing parents' worry. The app was tested with 194 children and their families to measure its effect on the overall surgical experience.
