Summary
This study tested whether draining a swollen gallbladder during keyhole removal surgery leads to better outcomes. It involved 70 patients with painful, swollen gallbladders due to stones or infection. Researchers compared the standard approach (not draining) to a method where the gallbladder is drained during surgery to see which caused fewer complications like accidental tears, infections, or needing to switch to open surgery.
