New mesh aims to stop breast implant complications

Summary
This study tests a special scaffold (GalaFLEX LITE™) used during breast implant revision surgery to see if it can prevent the return of capsular contracture (hardening of the scar tissue around the implant). About 250 women with severe capsular contracture will be randomly assigned to receive either the scaffold or standard surgery. The goal is to reduce the chance of the problem coming back and improve patient satisfaction.
