New treadmill program aims to steady steps for Parkinson's patients
NCT ID NCT05131880
Summary
This study tested whether adding a specialized treadmill walking program to standard physical therapy could improve mobility for people with Parkinson's disease. 52 participants with mild to moderate Parkinson's were randomly assigned to receive either standard therapy alone or standard therapy plus the treadmill program. Researchers measured walking speed, balance, fall risk, and independence to see which approach worked better.
