New hope for stomach paralysis: Two-Procedure combo tested

Summary

This study tests two procedures—G-POEM (a tube through the mouth to relax the stomach muscle) and a stomach pacemaker (GES)—alone or together in 40 adults with severe gastroparesis (stomach paralysis) that hasn't improved with medication. The goal is to see which approach best reduces symptoms like nausea and vomiting, and improves quality of life.
