First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests a new, less invasive treatment for a rare but life-threatening fungal infection in the chest. The goal is to see if this treatment helps clear the infection and improves symptoms, especially for patients who are too ill for surgery. The study will include 50 people with confirmed fungal empyema.
