New exercise program shows promise for overweight adults with disabilities

Summary

This study tested whether a 6-month high-intensity functional training program is practical and helpful for overweight or obese adults who have a permanent disability that affects their mobility. 25 adults participated in the program three times per week. Researchers measured changes in weight, body fat, and other health markers to see if this type of community-based exercise could improve their health.
