Summary

This study tested a once-nightly medication called FT218 in 157 adults with idiopathic hypersomnia, a condition causing excessive daytime sleepiness despite long sleep. Participants took the drug or a placebo to see if it improved alertness and reduced symptoms over about 18 weeks. The goal was to find a safe, effective treatment for this chronic sleep disorder.
