Can free veggies fight Kids' liver disease?

NCT ID NCT07091539

Summary

This study is testing whether providing free fruit and vegetable vouchers to families struggling with food insecurity can help improve the diet and liver health of children diagnosed with fatty liver disease (MASLD). Researchers will enroll 48 children and teens from California clinics, give their families vouchers for 6 months, and track what they buy, what they eat, and changes in their liver health. The goal is to see if this practical support makes it easier for families to follow healthy eating advice from their doctors.
