First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving people advice and a weekly £10 grocery voucher helped them eat more fruits and vegetables. 42 adults who ate fewer than 2 portions of fruits and vegetables daily were split into three groups: one got general info, another got 5-a-day advice (excluding fruit juice) plus a supermarket voucher, and a third got 5-a-day advice (including fruit juice) plus a voucher. The goal was to see which approach increased intake and improved metabolic health markers over four weeks.
