First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 36 times
Summary
This study follows 130 older adults with mild to moderate Alzheimer's to see if frailty (weakness, slow walking, weight loss, exhaustion, low activity) leads to faster loss of daily living skills. Participants are assessed at the start and after one year, with long-term follow-up for up to 5 years. The goal is to understand which patients are at higher risk of decline and needing nursing home care.
