First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at 310 frail adults aged 75+ who were hospitalized for medical problems. Researchers compared those admitted directly to a ward versus those who came through the emergency department. The goal was to see which path led to fewer re-hospitalizations or deaths within 90 days. Results may help hospitals design better care for frail elderly patients.
