Eye study seeks genetic clues in people with unusual retina
NCT ID NCT04658381
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some people have a specific, usually harmless, eye structure called fovea plana. Researchers looked at 20 adults who had this feature but no vision problems or known albinism. They performed genetic tests and detailed eye scans to see if these individuals carry genes related to albinism, hoping to learn more about the condition's origins.
