First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at data from 369 adults with Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infections to see if grouping patients by their risk profile and infection type can predict who will benefit from adding the antibiotic fosfomycin to standard treatment. Researchers will analyze outcomes like death and treatment success to validate a new classification system. The goal is to better target combination therapy to those most likely to benefit.
