First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at how changing the stiffness of the footplate in a carbon fiber leg brace changes the pressure on the foot and how a person walks. Researchers will measure foot forces, pain, and comfort in 20 healthy adults while they walk with different braces. The goal is to learn how to design better braces for people recovering from foot or ankle injuries.
