Shocking combo: brain zaps and leg zaps may fix foot drop after stroke
NCT ID NCT07592221
First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether combining two types of electrical stimulation—one on the scalp and one on the leg—can help people who have had a stroke lift their toes better (foot drop). About 30 adults who had a stroke at least 6 months ago and can walk with a cane will receive these treatments along with leg exercises. The goal is to see if this combo improves toe clearance and walking speed, reducing the risk of falls.
