Scientists hunt for clues in ovarian fluid to boost IVF for older women

NCT ID NCT07214246

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study looks at small molecules called microRNAs found in the fluid around a woman's eggs. Researchers want to see if these molecules change with age and can predict how well eggs will develop during IVF. About 100 women undergoing IVF will provide a sample of this fluid during egg retrieval. The goal is to find noninvasive markers that could help improve fertility treatments for older women.
