Scientists seek minimum follicle size for IVF success

NCT ID NCT07331493

First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at how the size and number of ovarian follicles (fluid sacs containing eggs) on the day of the trigger shot affect how many eggs can be retrieved during an IVF cycle. Researchers will track 60 women aged 18-35 undergoing ICSI to find the smallest follicle size that still leads to successful egg collection. The goal is to improve IVF outcomes by better predicting egg yield.
