Common vitamin could be lifesaver for patients with sudden kidney failure
NCT ID NCT07377071
Summary
This study will test if taking a daily folic acid (vitamin B9) pill for 90 days helps adults survive longer and recover better from sudden kidney failure caused by infections like sepsis. Researchers will compare about 382 patients who receive folic acid plus standard hospital care to those who receive only standard care. The main goal is to see if the vitamin reduces the chance of dying within one year.
