Magnetic boost may speed up bone injury recovery in athletes

NCT ID NCT07234084

First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a magnetic stimulation device to standard physiotherapy helps athletes with bone marrow edema (a painful bone bruise) recover faster. Forty athletes aged 18-45 with confirmed edema will receive either physiotherapy plus magnetic stimulation or physiotherapy alone for four weeks. Researchers will measure pain, leg function, and MRI changes up to 16 weeks to see if the magnetic therapy improves recovery and return-to-sport readiness.
