Paint and larvicide deployed in refugee camps to fight Disease-Spreading flies
NCT ID NCT07272122
Summary
This study aims to prevent diarrheal diseases by reducing the flies that spread germs in refugee camps in South Sudan. Researchers will test two methods—an insecticidal paint for latrine walls and a larvicide for waste areas—to see if they lower fly numbers and, in turn, reduce cases of diarrhea. The trial will involve over 5,600 camp residents, focusing on children under five and adults over 15, who are most affected.
