New nasal spray delivery system aims to unclog ears

NCT ID NCT05275686

First seen Mar 13, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether a new nasal spray device that delivers fluticasone deeper into the nose can improve symptoms of Eustachian tube dysfunction, a condition that causes ear pressure, popping, and muffled hearing. About 80 adults with chronic symptoms will receive either the active spray or a placebo. The goal is to see if this improved delivery method works better than standard sprays.
