New tool aims to take the guesswork out of kidney patient care

NCT ID NCT05538351

Summary

This study aims to create a better, more standardized tool to help doctors and nurses assess fluid levels in hospitalized patients with sudden kidney injury (AKI). Researchers will work with medical experts and 120 patients to identify the most useful signs, symptoms, and measurements for determining if a patient has too much or too little fluid. The goal is to improve the accuracy of fluid assessments, which is critical for making safe and effective treatment decisions.
