Flu shot fights skin cancer in early trial

NCT ID NCT04697576

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether injecting a standard flu vaccine directly into melanoma tumors can help shrink them. The trial will enroll 36 adults with stage I-IV melanoma to assess safety and find the right dose. Some participants will receive the vaccine alone before surgery, while others with advanced cancer will receive it alongside their standard immunotherapy drugs.
