Summary
This study tested a new way of teaching patients how to care for themselves after leaving the hospital. It involved 80 adults with jaundice caused by a blocked bile duct who had a drainage tube placed. The new method aimed to help patients feel more prepared for discharge and improve their quality of life. Results showed it may help patients feel more ready to go home.
