Heart valve repair: which ring works best?

NCT ID NCT04093297

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study compares two types of surgical rings—flexible band and rigid ring—used to repair a leaky tricuspid heart valve (tricuspid regurgitation). About 300 adults with heart valve disease will be enrolled to see which ring leads to better long-term outcomes, such as fewer repeat surgeries or less valve leakage. The goal is to find the best approach for fixing this common heart problem.
