New catheter study aims to tame deadly heart rhythms

Summary

This study looks at how safe and effective a special catheter (FlexAbility SE) is for treating ventricular tachycardia, a fast, dangerous heart rhythm. About 62 people with heart disease who have not gotten better with medication will take part. Researchers will track serious side effects and whether the heart rhythm stays normal for a year after the procedure.
